Dress to Shred: What to Wear on the Trails
Trail Gear Tip: Layer Smart, Ride Smart
When hitting the trails, dressing in layers is key, and moisture-wicking fabrics make a huge difference. You’ll warm up quickly on climbs but cool down on descents or in shaded areas, so start with a breathable base layer to keep sweat off your skin. Add a lightweight jersey or long-sleeve shirt for sun protection, and pack a small windbreaker or rain jacket in case the weather changes.
Bonus: Don’t forget padded cycling shorts for comfort, gloves for grip, sturdy shoes, and always wear a helmet for safety. A hat or sunglasses can also help protect against the sun and debris.
