Ponderosa Loop

Fast and flowy through the trees. The Ponderosa Loop sits on top of a mesa and is accessible either from the south via Left Hand Canyon and the Wapiti trail or from the north via Lyons and the Picture Rock trail. The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance has done extensive rock armoring on the trail to protect the natural habitat.

*From Boulder, follow US 36 West toward Lyons, turn left onto Left Hand Canyon Drive. After 0.7 miles, turn right onto Geer Canyon Drive. After approx. 1.2 miles, you’ll come around a curve and see a sign for Heil Valley Ranch. The parking area is on the right/North side of the roach.
